Leaders unite at Global Evidence Summit
10-13 September 2024, Prague
Since 2018 JBI, together with Cochrane, GIN and the Campbell Collaboration had been making preparations for the Global Evidence Summit in Prague. Originally scheduled for 2021, the Summit was postponed to 10-13 September 2024 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Held at the O2 Universum, almost 2,000 delegates from 73 countries convened in Prague in mid-September for the Global Evidence Summit. Together with experts from around the world, they helped shape the future of evidence synthesis and implementation.

Using evidence. Improving lives.
The purpose of the Global Evidence Summit was to provide a multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural platform to facilitate collaboration around producing, summarising, disseminating and implementing evidence to improve lives.

The discussions emphasised the power of collaboration in evidence synthesis, effective translation and implementation of evidence, and advocacy for broader use of evidence in decision-making. Additionally, the Global Evidence Summit highlighted the importance of contextualising global evidence for local impact and measuring its effectiveness in improving lives.

Delegates attended 60 workshops, 25 special sessions, 70 long oral presentations and 6 plenary sessions. The plenary sessions explored six key program domains, including how evidence-based organisations can support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and foster global collaboration through innovative methodological approaches.

Recordings of the plenary sessions are available on the Global Evidence Summit YouTube channel.
Building a truly global evidence ecosystem
