JBI Evidence Implementation
Issue 1 2026 released
The first issue of JBI Evidence Implementation for 2026 includes the latest work focused on the application of evidence into healthcare practice and policy. The journal provides a platform for research and best practice reports that examine how evidence-based recommendations are implemented, evaluated, and sustained in real-world settings.
JBI Evidence Implementation is distinct in its emphasis on implementation methodology and practice-focused outcomes. Rather than concentrating solely on evidence generation, the journal addresses the processes, strategies, and contextual factors that influence whether evidence is adopted in clinical, organisational, and policy environments. Its scope includes implementation projects, methodological developments, reviews, and discussion papers that support systematic and transparent implementation of evidence into practice.
Volume 24, Issue 1 of the journal includes an editorial examining the relationship between implementation science and knowledge transfer and exchange, with attention to their role in evidence-informed policy and practice. The issue features multiple best practice implementation projects conducted across a range of global health care settings. These projects address topics such as nursing management of intracranial hypertension, gastrostomy care, post-operative pain management, correct patient identification, nutrition counselling, pressure injury prevention, sleep quality, and cancer-related care processes.
In addition, the issue includes original research on the sustainability of best practice guideline implementation, a scoping review on sampling considerations in quality improvement, a methodology paper proposing the PIECE framework for evidence implementation projects, a systematic review on fall prevention in older adults with cognitive impairment, and discussion and commentary papers focused on sustainability and collaboration in implementation work.
Together, the articles provide practical and methodological insights relevant to clinicians, researchers, and decision-makers involved in implementing evidence-based healthcare.
