
JBI Collaboration grows with a new JBI Affiliated Group
We welcome the Taiwan Holistic Care Evidence Implementation Center
The JBI Collaboration (JBIC) continues to grow with groups and people who are passionate about evidence-based care, uniting in their desire to contribute to improvements in the quality and outcomes of healthcare globally through evidence synthesis, transfer and implementation.
As we begin 2023, we are excited to announce that a new JBI Affiliated Group has joined the JBIC. We welcome the Taiwan Holistic Care Evidence Implementation Center: A JBI Affiliated Group.
To help meet the needs of an ageing population, increasing rates of chronic illness, and the emphasis on the transition from institution to home-based and community care, the Taiwan Holistic Care Evidence Implementation Center provides a home-based-care practice model based on the best available evidence.
Directors Dr Shwu-Feng Tsay and Dr Wen-Yu Hu are focused on the Center’s mission to promote and support evidence-based health policy and clinical decisions that improve health outcomes and health service delivery in the field.
The Center’s holistic nursing approach is aligned with the JBI Model of Evidence-based Healthcare, and their work is supported by JBI’s evidence-based practice resources and the global JBIC.
The Center will focus on contributing to the synthesis, transfer and implementation of the best available evidence around long-term care. Specific aims of the new JBI Affiliated Group include:
• developing strong and collaborative relationships with , the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the International Council of Nurses (ICN)ne Nursing, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the International Council of Nurses (ICN)
• developing evidence-based, national policy for nursing practice guidelines for home care and community care agencies
• incorporating evidence-based clinical guidelines into home-care accreditation systems
• developing and evaluating family nurse practitioner curriculum based on evidence-based practice perspectives.
Ultimately, the Center aims to be a leader in holistic nursing care evidence implementation in Asia.
We look forward to supporting the work of the Taiwan Holistic Care Evidence Implementation Center, and to celebrating their achievements and successes!
