JBI joins Sax Institute in addressing Australia’s public health challenges
Improving public health through better use of evidence
JBI is proud to announce its recent membership with Sax Institute, joining a powerful national network committed to driving the use of research in health policy, programs, and services across Australia.
The Sax Institute is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving health and wellbeing through the better use of evidence in decision-making. The Institute collaborates with governments, health bodies, and researchers to develop best-practice approaches for embedding research into policy and practice.
JBI Executive Director, Professor Zoe Jordan, said the membership represents a valuable opportunity for JBI to strengthen its mission of supporting evidence-based healthcare.
“Sax membership provides us with the opportunity to be part of the Sax Forum, to influence initiatives, exchange advice and tools, and network with other like-minded individuals and organisations in Australia supporting evidence-based policy and practice,” she said.
Welcoming JBI to the network, Sax Institute CEO Dr Martin McNamara noted the alignment between the two organisations’ missions and values.
“All our member organisations share a commitment to ensure evidence is better reflected in health policy,” he said. “We look forward to collaborating with JBI to continue addressing Australia’s public health challenges.”
JBI joins 78 other members of the Sax Institute across Australia, strengthening its role in the translation of evidence into impactful health outcomes nationwide.
