Celebrating peer review excellence
Peer Review Week 2023
This week we celebrate Peer Review Week which recognises the essential role that peer review plays in maintaining research quality.
At JBI we rely on the time, expertise and dedication of peer reviewers to help us provide the highest quality evidence-based resources for healthcare globally, which includes The JBI EBP Database and JBI’s journals (JBI Evidence Synthesis and JBI Evidence Implementation).
“Peer Review Week offers an opportunity for the publishing community to acknowledge the importance of impartial and substantive feedback. Peer reviewers have an essential role in the process of scholarly publishing. As a scientific journal focusing on evidence synthesis and evidence-based health care, JBI Evidence Synthesis depends on peer reviewers to identify papers of importance and of sound methodology, and to offer constructive comments to help authors improve their work”, said Managing Editor of JBI Evidence Synthesis, Mara Lambert.
The current issue of JBI Evidence Synthesis celebrates Peer Review Week 2023 by recognising outstanding peer reviewer, A/Prof Marianne Wetendorff Nørgaard.
“Marianne consistently provides high-quality, useful feedback to authors. The editorial office expresses our appreciation to Marianne, and to all the peer reviewers, who have shared their time and expertise with the journal this year.”
Go to the September issue of JBI Evidence Synthesis to read A/Prof Wetendorff Nørgaard’s thoughts on this year’s theme of Peer Review Week, ‘peer review and the future of publishing’.
At JBI we extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our peer reviewers for generously sharing their expertise and committing to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
