What are the postnatal experiences of South Asian immigrant women in English-speaking countries?
The population is: South Asian immigrant women (SAIW). For this review question, South Asia refers to the following seven countries: India, Pakistan, Bangaldesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Maldives. Immigrant women are women who have permanently moved and re-settled to English-speaking nations. SAIW are South Asian women who have permanently moved and re-settled to English-speaking nations.
The phenomena of interest are the postnatal experiences. The postnatal period encompasses a variety of experiences including but not limited to: care experiences, breastfeeding experiences, experiences in accessing healthcare, experiences with healthcare professionals and experiences of SAIW caring for their newborns.
