What are the birthing care experiences of midwives, nurses, birthing people and their families during COVID-19?
The population for this qualitative systematic review will include licensed midwives, licensed nurses, licensed nurse-midwives, birthing people (people who give birth), family members (relationships to birthing person may include; partners, children, parents, siblings).
The phenomenon of interest for this review is birthing care during COVID-19. That is birthing care that is provided or received during labour, delivery, and the immediate postpartum (up to 72 hours following a birth).
The context will include settings where birthing care may be provided or received during labour, delivery, and the initial postpartum period. Globally, these settings are: homes, hospitals, birthing centres, community clinics. Settings will not be limited by geography.
